At Norbram, we believe that giving back means more than writing a cheque—it means showing up, pitching in, and making a real difference where it matters most. That’s why we were proud to recently support 360°Kids Homebase with a full pool table restoration, transforming a worn-out game table into a vibrant hub of connection, joy, and community.
360°Kids Homebase is a drop-in centre that provides critical support for at-risk and homeless youth across York Region. For many of the young people who use its services, Homebase is more than a shelter—it’s a safe, supportive environment that helps them rebuild their lives, one step at a time. Within that space, the pool table holds a surprisingly meaningful place.
The restoration, completed in partnership with the expert team at GameTablePlus, brought new life to a well-used and much-loved piece of furniture. With a new playing surface, upgraded rails, and a refreshed aesthetic, the table is now fully functional—and already being enjoyed by dozens of youth. In fact, Homebase staff have even organized a pool tournament, sparking friendly competition, laughter, and renewed engagement among the youth who visit the space.
But this donation wasn’t just about the table. It was about what the table represents.
For the youth at Homebase, the pool table is a:
Safe and healthy outlet for stress and emotional expression
Social anchor that encourages teamwork, connection, and mutual respect
Source of routine and accomplishment in an otherwise uncertain daily life
By restoring the table, we’ve helped ensure that Homebase remains a welcoming, empowering space where young people feel seen, supported, and valued.
