The Town of Halton Hills continues to show its commitment to building a stronger, more inclusive, and vibrant community through the Community Grant Program (CGP). Whether you’re part of a nonprofit, community group, or simply a resident with a great idea, this program is your opportunity to bring your project to life and make a meaningful impact on your neighbourhood.
Funding for Local Projects that Matter
The Town recognizes that supporting a healthy and thriving environment is a shared responsibility. Through the Community Grant Program, eligible applicants can access funding and resources to support projects that align with Halton Hills’ strategic priorities. The 2026 grant cycle supports initiatives delivered between April 1, 2026, and June 1, 2027.
Whether you’re planning a neighbourhood event, launching a local greening project, or building community engagement, there is a funding stream designed to support your idea.
Four Streams of Funding Available
Each funding stream has its own guidelines, eligibility criteria, and application process. Applicants are encouraged to apply to the stream that best matches their initiative.
1. Community Investment
Designed to support programs and services that contribute to the social, cultural, and economic well-being of Halton Hills residents.
2. Environmental Stewardship
For projects that protect, restore, or enhance the natural environment. This stream supports local sustainability efforts and environmental education.
3. Neighbourhood Projects
Aimed at resident-led projects that build stronger, more connected communities. Think of small-scale beautification projects, local events, or shared public space enhancements.
4. Special Events
Helps fund local events that bring people together, celebrate diversity, and promote community spirit throughout the Town.
