On November 4, 2026, Grade 9 students across Ontario will have an opportunity to explore different careers and experience the workplace firsthand during Take Our Kids to Work Day.
It’s an exciting opportunity for students, but also an important reminder for employers to introduce young people to workplace health and safety.
To help businesses prepare, Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS) is offering a free, one-hour virtual Health & Safety Awareness Presentation.
What Will Students Learn?
Through interactive games, videos, and discussions, students will learn about:
-
Common workplace hazards
-
How to recognize and report safety concerns
-
Employee rights and responsibilities
-
Employer responsibilities for workplace safety
The presentation is suitable for all industries and can be included as part of your organization’s Take Our Kids to Work Day activities.
