Canada – Germany Collaborative R&D Funding Program

Canada and Germany are working together to support collaborative industrial research and development projects that have strong commercialization potential.

This program encourages Canadian and German organizations to work together to develop innovative products, technologies, or technology-based services.

Eligible Canadian small and medium-sized businesses may receive funding for:

  • 80% of salary costs
  • 50% of contractor fees
  • 75% of international travel costs

Individual Canadian SMEs can apply for up to $500,000 CAD in funding over a period of 12 to 24 months, with the possibility of a 12-month extension if approved.

Eurogia Cluster Clean Technology R&D Program

Eurogia, a global cluster within the Eureka network focused on clean technologies, has launched its 30th call for collaborative research and development proposals.

The program supports international projects focused on clean technology innovation and commercialization.

Funding support may be available through NRC IRAP for eligible Canadian SMEs. Organizations that do not qualify for funding can still participate through self-funded collaboration.

AI-Powered Supply Chains Funding (Scale AI)

Canadian startups and SMEs working with artificial intelligence in supply chains may be eligible for funding through the Scale AI cluster program.

Companies that collaborate with other Scale AI members can receive funding to help accelerate the development or commercialization of AI solutions.

Eligible projects may receive up to 50% of project costs, with reimbursement funding up to $50,000 for startups and SMEs developing applied AI products and services.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Black Entrepreneur Startup Program

The Black Entrepreneur Startup Program, offered through Futurpreneur Canada, supports young Black entrepreneurs who want to start or grow a business.

Participants gain access to mentorship, financing, and business development resources to help build sustainable companies.

The program offers up to $75,000 in equity-free financing, including funding support from the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Starter Company Plus Program

The Starter Company Plus program helps aspiring and existing entrepreneurs launch or grow small businesses.

Participants receive:

  • Assistance applying for grants
